The festival will take place on the fields in the centre of Heysham village, with the car park adjacent to the event field located at post code LA3 2RP.
Please be aware that a small fairground will be operating during the festival days. Due to this, access to the car park will be limited and available exclusively for disabled parking and select residents residing nearby.

Heysham Viking Festival encourages you to use the local bus service for stress-free travel to the event. With limited on-street parking in Heysham Village and our official car park’s finite capacity, relying on public transport helps us maintain a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees. Check out the bus service timetable (the event post code is LA3 2RP) and hop on board to join us in celebrating Viking culture without the parking hassle. Let’s make the journey as epic as the destination!
Event Car Park
For your convenience, an alternative parking option will be provided at the Half Moon Bay car park, located at post code LA3 2LA. Our dedicated festival volunteers will be managing this car park, and there will be no council parking charges. However, we kindly request a £5 donation to help cover the costs of running the event, which would be greatly appreciated from anyone utilising the car park.
On-street Parking
Additionally, we kindly request all festival visitors to be considerate when parking on residential roads and streets near the festival. Please respect local residents and ensure that access is not blocked. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated as we strive to create a positive experience for both festival attendees and the local community.
